As I said yesterday, my trait #4 is being professional, which could include calm, strong, cautious and thorough. I googled “professionalism” and “amateur v professional” but I didn’t really get any descriptions that really embodied traits I thought of when I think about being professional.
To me, it signifies a certain amount of not only experience and the calm that comes from with knowledge, but also the characteristic of subjugating your own emotions, whether it be disgust, discomfort, or any other pain, in order to do the work and serve your client. Not just being “polite” which is what my Google searches turn up.
So, I would say I work professionally with people when they are frustrated or act irrationally by remaining calm, collected and focused on taking the necessary actions to move work forward.
I also bought a magazine yesterday to complete the Petal 2, Worksheet #2 Visualize Your Ideal Work Environment assignment that I never completed.
