Worksheet #1 asks you to “enter a summary paragraph or essay of what you have decided your purpose or mission is (you may pick more than one)”. I would say in a sentence:

“My purpose in life is to ‘love God and love others as myself’ as in the Bible, however I can, but I have the most experience in dealing with issues of justice, particularly as they affect women and children.”

Petal 7 describes nine spheres of purpose or mission. Although I intended to work in The Sphere of the Spirit, I encountered so many injustices within religious organizations that my own experiences drove me to focus instead on The Sphere of the Will or Conscience, which deals with morality and justice.

I guess that’s Petal 7 done – I still have to finish Petal 4 and 5 before I complete my Petal! Even though that’s only 14 pages in the book, there’s a lot of work and thinking that’s involved so they may take a long time to finish but hopefully I’m overestimating 😛
