Other than the introductory big picture “training” before I started my old job, I just read everything I could get my hands on to train myself and reached out to the most successful past leader in my first month so I could pick up where she left off. Looking back, I wish I had asked for a financial analysis of the whole project but that was never discussed. I’m guessing that was intentional because I think my old boss would have some idea about that. I wonder if one of the projects was actually not his original idea and maybe was another project that our past leader was not around to maintain that had to be dropped. Interesting – in the future, I should ask more about the history of things.
