Almost done – realized while reading that my old boss’s 10 years of experience working with the government receiving donations was the start and the key for the project as well as the whole organization. I knew his years of expertise were more important than the technical expertise required for the specific projects but not exactly how and I’m really learning about what combination of skills composed his skillset. It’s not just expertise but also the ability to see needs as well as opportunities and solutions, avenues of funding, concrete explanations and organizations of a plan to execute those solutions. Basically, problem solving, I guess.
