Our organization was not directly involved in the passage of this bill and reading it made me think of how little I understood about the problem and solutions at the time, as I didn’t understand what the final destination of the directive of the bill looked like. I should have asked a lot more questions about what reason progress wasn’t being made with the resources already available, since no funding was mentioned in the bill, among other things.
